As the new owner of Dooley Dental, Dr. Robert Scheddin is grateful to have worked with Dr. Dooley and is incredibly honored to have been entrusted to continue to provide high-quality dental care to our wonderful community here in Spring Lake. Dr. Scheddin didn’t love his smile growing up because of crooked and spaced-out teeth. It wasn’t until he underwent extensive orthodontic treatment that he was able to regain confidence in himself. For this reason, he decided that he also wanted to help others who were struggling with similar predicaments, and he went on to become the experienced dentist he is today!
Dr. Scheddin completed his undergraduate Biological Sciences degree at Rutgers University. He then completed his Master of Science at Drexel University College of Medicine, and later his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since then, he’s spent the majority of his time sharpening his skill set and continuing to expand his education to stay at the forefront of dentistry.
Dr. Scheddin earned well over 400 continuing education credits, which includes completing an intensive one-year advanced training at NYU in full mouth rehabilitation. This training focused on treating advanced cases that encompass the entire mouth, along with a focus in aesthetics. Over the years, he’s worked alongside the highest-skilled dental mentors in the industry on Fifth Avenue, New York City and throughout New Jersey. He has also earned several memberships in advanced studies, including a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, and the International Academy for Dental Facial Aesthetics.
Apart from dentistry, Dr. Scheddin enjoys weightlifting and is an avid saltwater aquarium hobbyist. In fact, he even won “strongest lifter pound for pound” in amateur weightlifting competitions! At home, he is happily married to his lovely wife, Marcella, and they’ve recently welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Niccolo. Spending as much time as possible with his loved ones is incredibly important to him.
